Am I the only one that really really hated the combining of NYAF and NYCC last year? Did no one else find it utterly ridiculous?
Besides the overcrowding that seemed to be present at all the Cons I attended since last September, I have to say, none of the panels were really that interesting. Those that I did attend more often than not ended up being--again--overcrowded to the point of extreme discomfort, or not what I expected. In a bad way. Besides that (and with the exception of ICON) the organization of things seems to be deteriorating. At this past Steampunk World's Fair, a panel would be scheduled to happen in one room, and you'd go there to find one of three things:
The room was designated as a dealer's room and the panel had been moved somewhere else, but no one knew where.
The room was already full of people.
The room literally did not exist.
Anyone else have similar experiences? I'm honestly not surprised because each year the Cons have gotten progressively better so they had to have an off year eventually, but I just hope they're back up to their usual standard this coming year.

I agree with you about combining the NYAF at the Comic Con. It was much better than it was last year in my opinion. Although it was slightly crowded navigation was a bit easier than expected. I would have liked if the Anime Fest was separated completely from the comic con.
I am aware that the convention center was still under construction so that could have been the reason why it was combined liked that this year.
