Review: Disgaea Infinite

I have a bit of a nerdcock for ultra-quirky Japanese games. I normally hate every single thing ever made, but the Disgaea series has really gotten to me. I started playing Disgaea 3 about a year or two ago, and while I haven't had the chance to play any more of it (because these games do not end, content-wise), I still adore the series.

Recently (after a mix up somewhere along the intertubes), I received a copy of Disgaea Infinite. What the hell is it? It took me a while to take it in, but it is an interactive visual novel; a "choose your own path" kind of game. Ultimately, you can screw up badly (and you WILL), but you can figure out how to get to the end of the road.

Anyone with a PSP and is a Disgaea fan should give my review a read. Anyone who hasn't been exposed to the series might not want to start here, since it is, absolutely, all store and doesn't get into the eccentricity of the gameplay at all.

I'll try to give Jim some time playing it and, who knows, you might hear us on a podcast sometime soon.
