Scott Pilgrim Flops

It tanked at the box office, coming in fourth after Expendables, Eat, Pray, Love, and The Other Guys.

Truly, an Epic Of Epic Fail.

I saw that movie and thought it was great! Not sure why it's getting killed in the box office. All those pre-screenings, perhaps?

John Tyler at Cinema Blend explains why Scott Pilgrim failed (even though he liked it). A generally very accurate assessment, I think::

So, there is this running issue that has come up in regards to this movie. A lot of misdirected hatred of the film based on the target audience. I've been reading some of the reviews and it is almost insulting to consider these people apart of the human species.

I would check out this great piece from NPR: 'Scott Pilgrim' Versus The Unfortunate Tendency To Review The Audience

Personally, I don't get why it was a flop. I thought it was pretty good, despite the fact that it kinda dragged on at the end.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is absolutely outstanding. I hate how a lot of the people who gave it negative reviews simply start out by saying, "I'm no gamer and everything this movie stands for sucks and the people who watch it are those losers feeding off those games and suck too. They should all just get a life." Seriously screwed up.
