Rumiko Takahashi... Good? Bad? Done?

The creator of Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, and Maison Ikkoku. Does she have a good track record or a bad one? Does she have it in her to create more series? I love her, but what do you guys think?

hmm...

I think she has a pretty impressive track record and I'd love to believe we'll see more high quality and high profile works from her -

...but both ranma 1/2 and maison ikkoku were both produced in the 80's and inuyasha has just ended (I think).

My personal opinion is that inuyasha was great at the beginning, but kind of lost it's way after a while and just got repetitive. So I suppose we'll have to watch Rin-Ne to see if she's still got it ;)

for what it's worth, lorena of iheartmanga gave it a good review

Ramna 1/2 = great manga!! I've heard good and bad things about Inuyasha. We'll have to see where the boat takes us!

Rumiko Takahashi is the best manga creator. She is named the Princess of Manga and it was her works which introduced to the medium. I like the way she implements a lot af Japanese culture in her works. I have even been inspired to learn Japanese in order to read her books in the original format.

Okay, don't get me wrong. Rumiko Takahashi is a very accomplished writer. It's just that a lot of her stuff is a little bit too...predictable? I mean, Ranma, Inuyasha, Urusei Yatsura, they're pretty much the same abusive love-hate relationships, perverted misunderstandings that result in the guy character getting beat up by his girlfriend, and crazy people that just seem to make everything worse.

Seriously, don't flame me for not liking her. I do. I mean, Mermaid Saga was awesome. I'm just not a fan of everything else.
